MTV has issued a statement in support of the star:

“MTV has a long and collaborative relationship with Kanye and we hope and look forward to continuing that meaningful relationship,” MTV’s statement said Tuesday.

MTV’s statement didn’t address his specific complaints; instead, it complimented West.

“Kanye West is a visionary performer and he didn’t let his fans down at this year’s VMA’s,” the statement said. “From his incredible renditions of “Stronger” and “The Good Life,” to the spectacular aerial shots from his multi-level suite which made for one of the grandest visuals of the night, the audience feedback on MTV.com has been overwhelming. In fact, he is the only artist to have three performances ranked in the top 15 on MTV.com.”

Yet snitches claim ‘Ye asked and approved performing in the Palms’ suite all because he wanted a more energetic setting.

The performance, actually pre-taped on Friday night, even got a thumbs-up from West, who viewed it with MTV executives before it aired, the source says.

With her hit single “Let it Go” topping out the billboard charts, looks like Keyshia Cole is on the come up. The songstress will be featured on the cover of the October edition of Essence magazine, which is on news stands now. Keyshia talks about men and of course the constant comparisons to Mary J. Here’s a snippet of the article where she discusses ending her relationship with Jeezy.

And when I met her I told her, “You winning all those Grammy’s—congratulations—it gives me inspiration to this day that maybe I can do the same thing.” You know, it’s just a real big life circle. I think there are a lot of things that she could tell me that’d help me. I’m not trying to take nobody’s place or nothing like that. But I’m just saying, as a woman—as a young Black woman—if she knows some of the answers, Give ’em to me!” (Laughing.) But she said that I could call her anytime. I just haven’t done it yet.”

Meanwhile KANYE just can’t keep mum then again why should he! He has gone off on MTV Networks claiming that the network misled him and also exploited Britney Spears.

“They exploited Britney in helping to end her career,” West told deejay JJ at New York radio station Z100 on Monday. “When Britney was opening [the VMA telecast], near the end, I felt so bad for her. I said, ‘Man, it’s a dirty game. This game will chew you up and spit you out…”I wasn’t mad that I just didn’t win any awards,” West says. “For me, [MTV] made it seem like performing on the main stage was a bad thing, and the suites were just so great. It was my dream when I made ‘Stronger’ to open up the VMAs with a real power performance.

“And I just feel like I got betrayed by them,” the rapper continues. “I feel like they tried to make it seem like I was so into everything that was going on in the show.”

This dude sure knows how to work the media and keep his name in everyone’s mouth!

Rapper EVE was recently quoted gushing about pop icon Prince.

“Prince is so crazily talented – to me he’s not a normal person, he’s more like an alien.”
